How do I become a Judge?
Who is eligible?
A member’s eligibility to become a Judge depends on his behavior and history while betting on Zoomabet. There are five specific qualifications that each member must meet in order to become a judge:
  • The member’s Integrity Rating is at least 95%.
  • The member’s Responsiveness Rating is at least 85%.
  • The member’s General Rating is at least 85%.
  • The member participated in at least five bets in the three months prior to becoming a judge.
  • The Member has not received any fouls in the three months prior to becoming a judge.
What is the process?
If a member meets the specified qualifications, there are three methods in which he can be appointed as a Judge. These methods include:
  • After checking his Judging Ability, Zoomabet will send the member a Judge’s application to complete. The appointing process begins when he returns the completed application.
  • The member can become a Judge if another registered member of Zoomabet recommends him, which can be done by clicking the “Suggest a Friend” button at the Judges Chambers. Once the member is recommended, Zoomabet conducts a comprehensive assessment of the his behavior and history and sends the member a Judge’s application to complete.
  • Zoomabet can independently choose members who demonstrate outstanding behavior and history to become a Judge. Zoomabet sends these members a Judge’s application to complete.
What happens next?
If Zoomabet approves the member’s Judge application, Zoomabet publishes the request to become a Judge to the Zoomabet community under at the Judges Chambers. Other registered members can then vote to approve or disapprove the specific member as a Judge. Once the community has voted, Zoomabet makes the final decision if he becomes a Judge.

If the member is appointed as a Judge, the system sends him a notification confirming the new position. The member is henceforth included in the search results of the judges search process when members place a bet. Additionally, Zoomabet publishes the decision to the community at the Judges Chambers.

To indicate that the member is a Judge, an icon appears on the member profile. The profile will also include a Judge History table that reports the number of trials that he has judged.

Once a Judge, always a Judge?
Becoming a Judge is an honor and should be treated as such. Therefore, a member can also be stripped of the judging duties if he/she abuses the privilege. Members who feel that a Judge has performed his/her duties unfairly can fill out a Disqualification Form located on the Judges homepage. When filling out the Disqualification Form, members choose the Judge they want to report, explain the reason for the report, and submit the form to the system.
