If you want to join a bet but you don’t like all the terms the bet creator placed, you can request to join a bet and suggest new terms. After adding your terms to the bet, a notification will be sent to the bet creator. The bet creator can then either accept or reject your suggested terms.

If you go to place a bet and Zoomabet’s matchmaker shows you that there are other similar bets that were already placed, it is suggested you consider joining a bet rather than placing one. You can always suggest new terms to the bet creator of an existing similar bet.

If you find that a bet you want to place does not match any of the existing bet categories, choose the category that most accurately fits your bet and place your bet in the miscellaneous category. If you want, you can also go to the homepage and click the “Suggest a Category” button. We’ll be happy to consider your suggestion.

No. Once you join a bet, you cannot leave it.

An open bet is a bet that has not reached the last date to join, so members can still request to join the bet. A bet in action is a bet that is past the last date to join but that has not reached the judgment date. A bet in action is waiting for the bet event to occur.

If no one joins a bet you placed, the bet closes on the last date to join. You will not gain or lose any ZBs.

Most of the terms must be filled out completely in order to place a bet. When you place a bet, stars denote required fields. The bet title and bet statement should be as descriptive as possible, so members searching to join bets know exactly what they are betting on.

If you win a bet, Zoomabet will inform you via a message in your inbox. Zoomabet will send you notifications updating you about the status of your bet and if you are required to take action in a bet (i.e. approve a request to join, declare a verdict, etc.). You can also see if you won a bet or the status of your bet by clicking the “Bets” button under My Account.

A dispute over the bet results occurs when both members declare they have each won the bet, or one member declares he won and the opponent declares the winner cannot be determined.

If a dispute occurs, you are required to declare a second verdict. During the second declaration, you may either decide to cancel the bet, insist on your first verdict, or request a Judge. The system then determines whether there is a winner, the bet is canceled, or if the bet goes to trial based on the two rounds of verdicts.

If you are placing a bet and you want to bet against a friend who is not a registered member of Zoomabet, you can choose “Invite new member to bet” when defining the bet terms. Zoomabet will then send a message to the email address you provide informing your friend that they have been invited to join a bet on Zoomabet. For every friend that accepts your invitation and becomes a registered member, you receive five ZBs.

There are two ways to place a bet against a specific friend who is already a registered member on Zoomabet. The first way to place a bet against a specific friend is to view the friend’s profile and click on “Quick Bet” from the chat menu. The second way is to fill in a friend’s name under “Invite member to bet” in the advanced options when placing a bet.

Checking Auto-Approve in the advanced options when placing a bet is only required if you don’t want to hand select each member who you allow to join your bet. When you check Auto-Approve, you can decide that only members who meet certain rating standards can join your bet. The first members who meet the qualifications and request to join your bet will automatically be accepted without your confirmation.

You can place as many bets as you can afford, with or without the same bet statement. However, when placing a bet, you have the option to allow multiple members to join one bet, which you can designate in the advanced options. This saves you the time of repeatedly placing the same bet.

Zoomabet will send you a notification to your inbox and/or email address whenever you are required to take any action pertaining to a bet.

Don’t worry! When the system sends you a notification that you need to declare a verdict, you are given a time period to declare. You will also receive another notification warning you that the declaration period is ending.

If you fail to declare a verdict, the system will think you disappeared from a bet and you will receive a foul.

You can request a Judge in two places on the site. First, when defining the bet terms while placing a bet, in the advanced options, you can designate a Judge should the bet go to trial. The second instance you can request a Judge is after the second verdict is declared and there is a dispute over the bet results.
